Bruce Prime, Ph.D, Thermosetting Polymers Expert
Bruce Prime has over 30 years’ experience developing polymeric materials and their processes for a variety of high technology products. He is an expert in crosslinked polymer systems such as coatings, adhesives and electronic materials. Bruce is a fellow of SPE and NATAS and was the 1989 recipient of the International Mettler Award in Thermal Analysis. Bruce has a Ph.D. in chemistry from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a B.S. in chemistry from Loyola Marymount University. He is a co-editor of the book Thermal Analysis of Polymers: Fundamentals and Applications (Joseph D. Menczel and R. Bruce Prime, editors, John Wiley & Sons, 2009).
Chris DeArmitt, Ph.D., High Performance Thermoplastic Polymer Expert
Chris is an expert in thermoplastics and plastics additives/fillers with 18 years’ experience leading teams turning market needs into new products and revenue. His industrial career includes leadership positions in R&D and Technical Marketing at Electrolux (Frigidaire), BASF, Hybrid Plastics and Applied Minerals. He has chaired several conferences and given innumerable invited lectures. Chris has published over 40 book chapters, articles, and international patents. He is a Chartered Chemist and was elected Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry at age 37. Chris has a Ph.D. in Surface and Polymer Science (University of Sussex, Brighton, UK).
Robert Iezzi, Ph.D., Polymers and Corrosion Expert
Bob has more than 40+ years of experience in polymers and corrosion, including plastics, polymer and metal coatings, cleaners and pretreatments for metals and plastics, and intellectual property. Most of his experience was obtained while working in R&D at Fortune 500 companies, specifically Arkema Chemicals, Campbell Soup, Betz-Dearborn, and Bethlehem Steel, where he developed and commercialized dozens of innovative products. He was awarded seven U.S. patents, multiple foreign patents, and has authored two book chapters and 50 publications in respected technical journals and conferences. Bob earned his Ph.D. in Materials Science (polymer coatings and corrosion specialty) from Lehigh University; M.S. in Physics from Kent State University; and B.S. in Engineering (chemical specialty) from Widener University.
Zoltan Mester, Ph.D., Environmental and Statistical Design Expert
Zoltan Mester is an expert in environmental issues in new product development (air permitting, waste treatment, hazardous waste disposal, chemical registration, etc.) Additionally, Zoltan is an expert using advanced statistical design of experiments (DOE) Zoltan holds a Ph.D. in chemistry at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and an M.S. in chemical engineering from the Technical University of Budapest, Hungary. Dr. Mester is currently an Adjunct Professor at Chapman University in Orange, CA and teaches Environmental Sustainability classes.
